WHAT IS D1kids.com: D1kids.com is NOT a typical commercial site. Essentially, the site was developed by parents of young student-athletes for the benefit of other parents and young football players. The site is primarily intended to be an educational and communications tool to help our kids become successful in the classroom and on the football field. D1kids.com also honors the teachers and coaches who dedicate their lives to helping kids realize their potential as human beings and athletes. D1kids.com is committed to the idea that our kids can be productive athletes without neglecting academics, and without resorting to the use of drugs. The site will include academic aspects, health and nutrition, medical information, position techniques, inspiration, and profile/video posting.

COACHES will be able to log on the site’s FREE Coaches forum and will be able to communicate with other coaches from all over the country. The forum will be PRIVATE and ONLY for coaches and training staff. The general public will have a separate forum where coaches may also post if they wish. Coaches may also post pictures and video of their players’ conditioning programs, drills they find useful, and even game clips (anything they feel is interesting).

STUDENT-ATHLETES and PARENTS: Kids from approximately 5th grade (Pee Wee football age) through high school will find the site valuable to their development as students and football players. Kids will be able to post profiles, photos, and videos of themselves. Nobody has as much impact upon a child’s future than a parent. D1kids.com will provide a quick and reliable place for parents to become familiar with the many challenges of being a parent to a modern student athlete. Remember, your child getting a college education is a wonderful thing. Your child receiving a college education on an athletic scholarship is even better!

ATHLETIC TRAINERS (who are often the unsung heroes who keep players productive) will also be able to use the FREE forum and other features. Trainers can discuss, share, and learn the latest techniques, state license requirements, and even job opportunities, etc.
